A man has been arrested and charged for multiple sexual battery and indecent exposure incidents, according to officers with the High Point Police Department. Officers said they responded to four sexual battery calls for about three weeks in June and July. In each case, officers said the victim reported inappropriate touching and described the same suspect and vehicle.
Three of the calls came from the same store. Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here. On July 8, , an officer responded to an indecent exposure call at the Walmart on South Main Street. The victim told the officer a man exposed himself and then touched her as she walked away.
The suspect left the store before police arrived, but officers got photos of the man and his car. Police said they worked to identify the suspect and monitored the store in case he returned. On Aug. Officers found the suspect, later identified as year-old Eddie J. Warren, and charged him with four counts of sexual battery and two counts of indecent exposure. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was on probation for prior indecent exposure and sexual battery cases in another jurisdiction.
